Seyed Mohammad Sadeqzadeh further remarked that renewable energies are the only way for the protection of the environment and through progress of technology costs for the environment protection will reduce.
He said that fortunately Iran has made efforts in the field of new energies and the government is supporting research works in this regard, adding that Iran and Germany can launch desirable cooperation in this field.
Pointing to the fact that Iran is one of the largest producers and consumers of energy in the world, he said with the continuation of the current trend a large segment of the country’s gas should be allocated to domestic consumption.
However, he considered development of renewable energies as a win-win measure and noted that parts of domestic consumption can be met by renewable energies and coefficient of energy safety can be increased more than before.
He said the Iranian Energy Ministry guarantees purchase of energy generated by renewable energies for a period of 20 years which will provide a good opportunity for the investors in this field.
